General salicylic acid is very similar to AHA acids - it regulates skin cell renewal, exfoliates works by relaxing the intercellular connections and removes unnecessary layer of horny skin cells. Salicylic acid is also compound kin of aspirin (chemical name of aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid) and as it has anti-inflammatory properties, promotes healing process so pimples and irritation.
Warning!
Preparations with salicylic acid can not be used by people who are allergic to salicylates, pregnant women and nursing mothers. In the course of the treatment with salicylic acid do not use a solarium and sunbathe.
